alias

The `alias` command is used to assign a name to a command or group of commands for ease of use.

Examples

  • List all aliases
alias -a
  • Display all aliases
alias -p
  • Specify NAME as an alias name
alias NAME='command'

For example:

alias ll='ls -alF'
  • Delete an alias
unalias NAME

For example:

unalias ll
  • Display help information
alias -h
  • Print the resolution of each alias
alias -t
